Little Ones and Roses

The voices of little ones resonate through the trees this morning.  The sound is four-fold what it was earlier this spring.  Now babies are grown, full-feathered and being taught the ways of feeding themselves.

They are resistant.  They come to the feeder at the juniper tree, standing on a limb watching mom or dad eating seeds.  The parents feed in an animated fashion, really making a show of how to eat and crack open the seeds for a meal.  Then they hop onto the branch by their toddler, who stand with head tilted back and beak open wide to be fed as usual, breast feathers fluffed out comically.  Mom or dad only drop a morsel in, much to the dismay of the child.  It is resistant to learning this new art, but the parents are determined.  After many weeks of round the clock feedings, they are tired and ready for a break.

The toddler birds are amusing to watch.  They have all their feathers, but have not learned the art of self-control.  Wings flap and ruffle of their own accord.  Tail feathers whip up and down at the slightest breeze, threatening to topple them over.  Even in nature, self-control must be practiced.  The parents encourage, stand by them and do not leave until they are all strong enough to fly off together.

There is a new little one in my life this spring as well.  My first grand child, a grandson, has been born!  What a precious gem.  As a grandmother, I now begin to understand the self-control and patience of grandparents.  I think perhaps the reason grandparents love to garden so much is that they are cultivating patience until they see the flowering faces of their grandchildren again. It is amazing to look at a baby and contemplate the powerful spiritual being they are.

Now that spring has blossomed into summer, the roses are in bloom.  Everywhere the joy of creation and scents of accomplishment are portrayed in various colors.  I’m reminded of my own bloom – an eternal, unfolding, radiating Presence.  The following meditation is a mirror of your own bloom and spiritual awakening.  A reminder that we are all uplifting and assisting each other, like the parent encouraging the baby bird of the power to come in its wings.  Everyone is a beautiful rose in the garden of life.  Oh what a wonderfilled garden that is!

THE ROSE I AM
With A Family of ONE

What if…

Many Hands of support were already placed upon your own hands.  Holding you up, blessing you, enCouraging you.

These Hands of Heaven touch you like invisible petals of Grace and Love.

The energy of these Hands from Heaven bring the vibration of Truth into your being.  Every cell of your biology vibrates with Divine Love.

Imagine many Hands from Heaven holding you, like many petals of a Rose surrounding the precious center.  This precious center is you.  Your conscious Goddess/God Self.

Perhaps you feel strengthened from this touch.  Or maybe tears overflow, moistening the petals like dew.  Sometimes the touch of Divine Love makes you cry, makes you empty your holy grail within.  Your tears help to cleanse the energy of the Whole.  Let your tears fall down the stem of the Rose I Am.

See yourself as this many-petaled Rose.  Your long stem anchors into the Beloved Mother Earth, where She holds you gently.  Your tears of dew caress the thorns of experience upon your form.  The shroud of petals around your soft face reflects the many Hands of Heaven that support you in your journey.

Thorns do not stop your growth, nor do they inhibit more Love.  They are simply part of your form.

Take a look at one of your thorns.  Examine it.  What pictures come to mind?  What events in your life formed it?  What people did you interact with?  What lessons were learned?

Do not hate your thorns.  Love them.  They sharpen your senses and keep your wits from becoming dull.  They re-mind you that the power of Love is ABSOLUTE.

How can a thorn re-mind you that Love is ABSOLUTE?  Prick your finger on one.  Test yourself on the experience of your thorns.  It is Love that lingers.  Love that heals.  Your thorns are like stepping stones on the path of your experience.  They reveal where you have grown.

Behold, now, as you stand upon the Mother Earth in your Rose form that there are many Roses in this garden.  Each an image and reflection of those You Love.  Each growing and learning in individual ways.  Each expressing Mother Father God.

Look, there is One you have judged.   One you have said had too many thorns.  One you said was walking too difficult a path.  But wait, and watch.  See that experience will teach that One how to hold its head up, stand strong, and how to overcome its thorns.  See their pathway opening up with many opportunities.  See that everything IS provided for their highest growth.

Your thoughts of others send them support, even if they are not aware.  If you see a Rose that is wilting, hanging its head and not feeling strong send it Love.  Imagine many Roses surrounding this One, sending them Strength, enCouragement, Support, the scent of Truth.

Imagine all these Roses in the garden breathing in the Scent of Heaven.  Filling themselves with Confidence, Purpose, Grace, and Love.

Allow Your Self to feel Strength, enCouragement, and Support too.  Many Hands of Heaven support Us, simply because They Love, and because They Can.

Next time life gets too difficult, re-member how the Hands of Heaven view You.  Like a many-petaled Rose.  Beautiful beyond compare.

Welcome home, and thank You for sharing.
